Spirit booked the final spot in the European division of DreamHack Masters Spring after beating fellow CIS side FORZE 2-0 in the final round of the closed qualifier.
Leonid "chopper" Vishnyakov's troops will join GODSENT, who had qualified on Sunday via the upper bracket, DreamHack Open Leipzig champions BIG, and 13 invited teams in the $160,000 online tournament, which is slated to start on May 15.
Spirit fancied their chances heading into the consolidation final as they had yet to lose to FORZE in 2020 after two series between these teams, the most recent of which as recent as eight days ago. FORZE, who had narrowly defeated OG in the previous lower bracket round, came close to pulling off an impressive comeback on Dust2 after finding themselves down 1-8 on the CT side, but Spirit prevailed in the end, with chopper finishing the game with a 31-16 KDD and an ADR just shy of 100.

Inferno turned out to be just as chaotic as the previous map, though this time around it was Spirit who spent most of the game catching up. FORZE had the upper hand from the outset and were at one point just two rounds away from victory, but they couldn't deliver the finishing blow and allowed their opponents to strike back right at the death.
